The second and final day of the Starboard ProKids started with some stunning freestyle moves from our youngest windsurfers. We had our 2nd elimination and finals for the kids under 11 and under 15. During lunch break we held a freestyle and downwind sailing race for the youngest participants from 3 till 6 years. It was amazing to see how these kids did there tricks. In the afternoon we sailed our final heats in slalom competition and closed the event with the prize ceremony and a concert of 'Dushi Band' from Aruba. It was a weekend full of excitement.

After a week of professional windsurfing (PWA) and a late start this morning finally it was time for the youngest freestyle and slalom surfers on Bonaire.
With 14 freestyle participants and 17 slalom sailors between 6 and 20 years. In the morning we held a complete single elimination with lots of wind.

Kralendijk, Bonaire – (May 16th, 2011) Once again Bonaire is the center of attention in the sports news of Windsurfing as the world tour of Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA) returns to Bonaire after 7 years.

This prestigious event is the highest ranking of the world and will add up in the final list of points where they will then choose the World Champion Overall of Professional Windsurfers Association Freestyle 2011.

What makes the event in Bonaire more special is that at this moment after two world competitions in Vietnam (Jan. 2011) and in Austria (April 2011), Demenson Kiri Thode won 1st place, Taty Frans won 3rd place and Tonki Frans won 5th place. They are getting the opportunity of a lifetime to defend their titles in front of their own people and in their own back yard where they can practice every day, which is Sorobon, Lac Bay.

The world cup of PWA is the highest ranking that you can count on best of the best worldwide in Freestyle in both categories of male and female. The coverage and promotion that Bonaire will receive from this event is one of the most important, because PWA will bring their own professional press crew consisting of Live Internet Streaming TV and the best professional windsurfing photographer, Mr. John Carter from England.
